8th Grade Sunrise Breakfast: Bonding, Breakfast, and Memories Made

8th Grade Sunrise Breakfast

The sky glowed soft gold as our 8th graders gathered for one of REACH’s new favorite traditions—the Sunrise Breakfast. From the moment scholars arrived, there was a sense of calm excitement. Friends reunited, new classmates were welcomed, and teachers made the rounds with high-fives and words of encouragement.

After plates were filled with breakfast favorites, scholars set goals, and took in the sunrise side by side—a simple, powerful reminder of how strong we are when we begin together. What made it special? To look ahead, scholars wrote “letters to future me,” sealing intentions for the year that they’ll open at the end of the year.

Huge thanks to our families for the early drop-offs and support and our staff for thoughtful planning. Events like these don’t happen without a community that shows up—together. This class is ready—ready to lead on campus, lean into learning, and leave a legacy. If the Sunrise Breakfast is any indication, our 8th graders are moving from good to great—the REACH way, and they’ll make plenty of magic along the journey.
