Bullying Prevention Month & Unity Day — Kindness in Action, Every Day

national bullying prevention month/unity day

October at REACH is more than a themed month—it’s a powerful reaffirmation of who we are and how we care for one another. Throughout National Bullying Prevention Month, our scholars engaged in intentional learning experiences focused on kindness, empathy, and standing up for what’s right.

Across classrooms and grade levels, scholars explored what it truly means to build a bully-free community. Lessons and discussions centered on respectful communication, understanding others’ perspectives, and making upstander choices—whether in the classroom, on the playground, or online. Scholars were reminded again and again that their voices matter and that seeking help is a sign of strength.

Unity Day brought this work to life in a bold, visible way. Dressed in orange, our campus stood united in a shared promise to choose empathy over indifference and connection over isolation. Our school-wide assemblies lifted scholar's voices and reinforced the values that guide us every day at REACH. Classrooms continued the conversation through community circles, reflective activities, and creative expressions of belonging.

What made this initiative especially meaningful was the collective commitment—from scholars, staff, and families alike—to create a space where every Royal feels safe, valued, and confident to be themselves. Unity Day reminded us that kindness isn’t just something we talk about; it’s something we practice daily.

At REACH, belonging is non-negotiable. Together, we are building a culture where scholars learn bravely, treat one another with dignity, and know they are never alone.
