Celebrating Our REACH Spelling Bee Stars — Courage, Confidence, and a Love of Learning

Our campus was filled with anticipation, focus, and Royal pride during this year’s REACH Spelling Bee. From the first word called to the final round, it was a powerful celebration of preparation, perseverance, and academic excellence.

What made the day so special wasn’t just the impressive spelling—it was the courage on display. Scholars stepped up to the microphone, took deep breaths, and gave it their very best. With classmates cheering them on and families and staff supporting from near and far, the atmosphere was filled with encouragement and respect. Every participant demonstrated focus, resilience, and confidence well beyond their years.

We are thrilled to recognize our grade-level winners:

And after an exciting final round, our overall competition winners were:

1st Place: Melaku W.
2nd Place: Thomas S.
3rd Place: Mi’Kayla S.

We are incredibly proud of these scholars for their dedication and hard work. Their commitment to reading, studying, and practicing truly paid off.

One of the most heartwarming moments came after the competition ended. Inspired by watching the 5th grade Spelling Bee on Zoom, scholars in Mrs. Jeter’s Kindergarten class decided to host their very own classroom spelling bee! It was a beautiful example of how excellence inspires excellence at REACH. Congratulations to their Kindergarten Spelling Bee winner, Lana B. — we love seeing our youngest Royals already stepping into leadership and learning with confidence.

The Spelling Bee is more than a competition—it’s a reminder of the power of words, the value of preparation, and the confidence that comes from taking academic risks. We are proud of every scholar who participated, supported their peers, and showed up ready to grow.

Keep reading, keep learning, and keep leading, Royals. The future is bright at REACH.
