Sidney Franco
2nd Grade Teacher
After graduating from California Baptist University (CBU), Ms. Sidney Franco began her teaching journey with a heart for community and collaboration. Now in her second year in the classroom, she’s proud to be part of REACH’s House system as a member of Altruismo, where she champions service, belonging, and excellence. Raised in El Monte, Ms. Franco brings a warm, student-centered approach to her work and especially loves collaborating with her team to design learning that helps every scholar feel seen, supported, and challenged.
Beyond the classroom, Ms. Franco is a lifelong learner and creative at heart—she enjoys reading (current favorite: The Things We Leave Unfinished), crafting with her Cricut, and winding down with a great movie. Pasta is her go-to comfort food. Personally, she’s committed to practicing gratitude daily; professionally, she’s focused on sharpening her time-management skills to be even more present and intentional for students. One of her proudest accomplishments is earning her Master’s degree, a milestone that fuels her belief in education’s power to open doors.
Ms. Franco is excited for the year ahead—continuing to grow with her students, celebrate their progress, and contribute to the caring, high-expectations culture that makes REACH feel like home.
