Mr. Christian Alexis De Leon Gonzalez, a proud Moreno Valley native, has been part of the REACH community for over two years as a residential substitute and interventionist. This school year marks his exciting transition into his first full-time teaching role—where he’ll be guiding the next generation of filmmakers at REACH Middle School. With a passion for creativity and storytelling, Mr. Gonzalez is committed to creating a safe, fun, and expressive environment where students can explore their voices through the art of filmmaking. He holds degrees from Moreno Valley College, UC Santa Cruz, and National University, and brings real-world experience to the classroom as a writer, director, and actor—recently starring in the series 916 and leading a new short film titled Jorge. His favorite part of working at REACH is the sense of community fostered through the House system, which ensures that every scholar feels seen and included. Outside the classroom, Mr. Gonzalez enjoys filmmaking, photography, sewing, and gaming. His favorite reads include The Revolt of the Cockroach People, The Tipping Point, and One Piece, and his favorite foods range from sopes and hot wings to pasta and chicken shawarma. A proud member of the Blue House, he’s ready to help scholars unlock their creative potential and tell stories that matter.
