Ashley Gorton
1st Grade Teacher
Ms. Ashley Gorton is a proud Riverside native and a graduate of California Baptist University, where she earned both her Teaching Credential and Master’s in Teaching. She began her career in education in 2022, starting in a 6th-grade classroom before discovering her passion for teaching 1st grade—a role she now loves and plans to continue for years to come.
What Mrs. Gorton values most about REACH is its strong sense of community. From her very first day, the campus felt like a family—a team united in giving every scholar an exceptional educational experience. A proud member of Red House, she brings that same spirit of collaboration and encouragement into her classroom every day.
Her goal is to create a welcoming, safe, and academically challenging environment where scholars feel empowered to grow and explore. She delights in witnessing her students' progress and enthusiasm throughout the school year—from their brave first attempts at something new to the shared laughter and joyful moments that build lasting classroom memories.
Outside the classroom, Mrs. Gorton enjoys riding motorcycles with her husband and family, heading to the beach, reading, and watching anime. Her favorite book is The Chronicles of Narnia, and she loves indulging in Yellow Thai curry. One of her proudest accomplishments is completing her Master’s degree—an achievement that fuels her passion for lifelong learning and inspiring young minds.
