Fatima Suarez

After earning a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Riverside, Ms. Fatima Suarez began her teaching career in 2023, spending two years teaching fourth grade in South Los Angeles. In 2025, she completed a Master’s in Transformative Education with a focus on Administration and Leadership at Loyola Marymount University, where her graduate capstone received the Library Research Award and was published in LMU’s Digital Commons. Raised in Ontario, California, Fatima later joined REACH Leadership STEAM Academy to be closer to home and to serve the community that shaped her. Fatima describes REACH as a place where genuine joy is woven into everything we do—a culture that uplifts scholars and empowers both students and educators. Her favorite part of teaching is building meaningful relationships and watching students grow academically and personally: seeing confidence bloom and knowing she played a part in that journey is what fuels her work each day. Looking ahead, Fatima plans to continue her education by pursuing a doctorate, with aspirations to lead in school administration or teach at the higher education level to inspire future educators. Outside the classroom, Fatima channels her passion for wellness at the functional fitness gym she co-owns with her brother, where she trains regularly; she also joins group runs with her local run club. When it’s time to unwind, you’ll often find her with a good book—her favorite is Solito by Javier Zamora—or enjoying Korean BBQ with friends and family.
