Tristen Boandl

Going into her third year at REACH, she shared that while growing up, she struggled with reading. She felt like she didn't have the proper resources or support needed when she was younger. After serving in the military, she knew she wanted to continue to make a difference. She returned to school and decided to pursue a teaching credential in special education. Boandl truly felt this was her calling. She shares that she wanted to empower students to believe in themselves and champion them each step of the way. Her favorite thing about REACH is how the school understands the importance of incorporating fun and joy into the classroom. “Students genuinely can't wait to see what the next day holds. Our students are engaged and always feel welcomed on campus,” she says. In Boandl’s free time, she enjoys camping with her family. When she is not teaching, she is photographing weddings and other precious memories. She plans to continue advocating, cheering, and leading her students to their individual goals.
