Mia Lyons

Mrs. Lyons has been a teacher at REACH since 2008. After ten years at a Christian School in West Los Angeles, she decided to work at a charter school in South Los Angeles called KIPP Empower Academy. My family moved to Riverside, and I have had the pleasure of working with our lovely REACH family ever since. At REACH, she loves that it balances a rigorous academic curriculum with social activities that allow students to learn individually and as a group while developing life skills. She believes scholars learn better when their school day is filled with various age-appropriate learning activities and methodologies. When she is not in the classroom, Mrs. Lyons loves traveling to warm tropical places and enjoying the beach. She plans to continue teaching and use her ability to mold and cultivate young leaders of our future.
